Thirteen of my video pieces were featured in the amazing Dupont Underground, a subterranean arts &

cultural organization in Washington DC.

Ten pieces from the Moonlight Fantasy series

were showcased in additition to Connecting with the Light, Pink a Cherry Blossom Fantasy

and Kaleidoscope.

On Golden Ponds is a circular video, designed to be projected onto the floor, a serene animation of a koi pond, based on my painting of the same name. First shown as part of the "Pink a Cherry Blossom Fantasy" installation.

Spring is an animation based on the digital painting "Her Majestic Spring Attire" or "Early Spring" which is part of a set of 12 paintings entitled "The Four Seasons" which explore the seasons of the year and the seasons of a woman's life. Each an independent piece an each a part of the whole.

La Promenade

La Promenade

An intricate mesmerizing dance is created by the late evening light casting long mysterious shadows by dog walkers, palm trees and ladies in beautiful sandals alike. There is a connection between these strangers as they pass each other, jog and run over and across each other that creates a rhythm and a music that is specific to this place on the French Rivera and yet is universal.

"Forget-me-not" and “Echoes” are sister pieces dealing with memories - how we revisit them by walking down familiar roads and paths, and how we cherish and long for vanished times, places and people. Time changes our perception of events and colors, and blurs the outlines of dreams and reality.

Pink Tide

Pink Tide

With “Pink Tide” and “Blowing in the Wind” I am edging towards abstraction. It’s all about color and movement, the surprise of finding a galaxy of stars in the billowing pink silk. All the footage was acquired during my "Pink a Cherry Blossom Fantasy" installation, when I discovered a whole new perspective by exploring the world from below the silk and finding it beautiful and sensual. The silk and wind, like a lovers touch.

What is remembered and what is a memory created for us by family stories told many times over? This Merry-go-round has not changed since I rode it as a child, but do I remember it or is it all a game of mirrors, my memories a reflection of those around me. What is real and what is illusion? And does it matter?
